Bloomfield Township Fire Department

CMI delivered this customized Sprinter van to Bloomfield Township Fire Department to use as a unique incident command vehicle. The vehicle features plenty of storage for equipment, tables for planning, and power for high tech equipment.

 

The shell is a 170" high roof cargo Sprinter that was supplied by the customer. An additional window was installed and walls and ceilings were insulated. It is loaded with many features including self draining stainless steel ice chest, HVAC unit, engine driven - aux rear A/C & heat unit, Day/Night shades, 2800w inverter/charger, 4-d storage battery to provide 110v power, master circuit control panel, Kussmaul external shore line (auto eject), LED lighting, Fluorescent lighting, 12v power ports, and 120v outlets.
 

 Entering the passenger side slider door entry is a full height, custom closet area for long hang clothes storage.  Directly across from the entrance door behind drivers seat is a multifunction, laminate cabinet area.  The lower portion has an integrated, manual pull out table surface which provide additional areas for maps and planning.  The remainder of the cabinet has storage areas.
 

Continuing rearward, is a low height cabinet area access from the top of the counter surface. The remainder of the cabinetry has storage areas. Across from this area is a main, command/office/desk area.  This area features custom tables. One of the tables is a pull out style table and the other is a rear flip up table.  Rear of desk area, is additional, under desk storage area, accessed from the rear of the vehicle. This desk includes a standard, roll type office desk chair and one pedestal mounted, standard vinyl captains seat.  Both sides of the vehicle have additional, upper cabinet storage areas. 

 

Moving rearward of the main entrance door is a small, standard vinyl bench seat, complete with forward armrest and additional storage under the bench.
