Handicap Equipped Family Transport Sprinter

Creative Mobile Interiors delivered this comfortable 2008 Sprinter to a Virginia family.

This vehicle features a driver’s seat equipped with a six-way power adjustable base system and a passenger seat that swivels to face the rear. The stereo was upgraded to an Alpine multimedia system with CD/DVD/MP3/Back-up camera/Bluetooth connectivity. The sound system also includes upgraded Rockford speakers in the drivers area and eight Alpine speakers in the cabin area.

The two seats in the driver’s area were upgraded with leather, as were the other seating surfaces. The cabin area features another swivel base captain's chair and space for securing a wheel chair. There is also a removable table that allows anyone aboard the opportunity to sit and chat face to face.

Behind the wheelchair lift/tie-down area is a three person bi-fold sofa. The sofa folds down so that the handicapped family member can lay down to make onboard care easier. Several outlets were placed throughout the vehicle to accommodate the other equipment necessary for the special needs of this family. An additional heating system was installed to insure the back of the van was kept warm and a ceiling fan was installed to increase airflow.

The Sprinter includes a top-of-the-line wheelchair lift that allows the family to do things that they hadn't been able to do before. Not only can they travel, but they can travel safely, comfortably and with the knowledge that CMI considered all of their distinct needs when building this vehicle.
