1972 Chevy Custom Camper

1972 Chevrolet C30 - Custom Mitchell Camper Rebuild "ReRun"

Our team of expert craftsmen gave new life to this vehicle that was rotting away (see gallery below for "before" photos), and so we dubbed this conversion "ReRun". We were very excited for the finished product, which made its debut appearance at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas as a featured vehicle of PPG. Check out a video interview of ReRun at SEMA here.

This frame-up restoration involved work on every single crevice of the vehicle. The driver's compartment was modernized but still has much of the original character. Utilizing the original 402 Big Block engine, we made the following main modifications under the hood:

  • Bored 30 over
  • Keith Black domed pistons
  • March Performance serpentine kit
  • Sniper fuel injection
  • Wilwood Hydro brake system
  • SM465 transmission (factory 4 speed manual)
  • Hydraulic clutch conversion

The frame for the camper's body/shell was removed and completely rebuilt out of aluminum and welded by hand. The fully-custom camper conversion consisted of the following main features:

  • Custom PPG paint
  • State-of-the-art sound system (with functional record player)
  • HVAC and built-in 4KW generator
  • Custom skylights
  • Full kitchenette
  • Bamboo countertops
  • Smart TV and Wifi
  • Full Bathroom
  • Queen bed

ReRun received a lot of attention from vehicle lovers far and wide! Here are just a couple articles from RV Pro Magazine and Curbed for some additional reading on this unique camper restoration.
