ReRun received a lot of attention from vehicle lovers far and wide! Here are just a couple articles from RV Pro Magazine and Curbed for some additional reading on this unique camper restoration.  And a story below from Mecum Auctions.

"Hitting the road in an RV in America is just as ubiquitous as baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. And while RVs are more about style and comfort than performance, “ReRun,” a custom, pro build for the 2018 SEMA Show, obliterates the notion that a camper can’t be wicked fast. Starting with a 1972 Chevrolet C30 camper, Creative Mobile Interiors of Grove City, Ohio, scrapped the glass camper shell, crafting a new one out of aluminum to the same dimensions as the original. The suspension was lowered 2 inches, sandblasted and refinished, and then a front roll pan and custom rear bumper were fitted, as well as an LMC-sourced hood and grille. The rig then entered the spray booth, with fresh PPG Olive Green and White Diamond paint applied.

With the body in check, attention then turned to the rig’s motivation. Built by One Racing, the 402 CI big-block is filled with Keith Black pistons on Scat rods, and the valves are actuated via a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy hydraulic flat-tappet cam. The monster motor breathes through a Holley Sniper EFI setup and exhales via a set of Sanders headers and dual exhausts. A March Performance serpentine system handles the accessories. With the big-block backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox with a McLeod clutch, torque flows to the 17-inch Vision Crazy Eightz wheels wrapped in Toyo 225/65T17 tires.

The interior is where Creative Mobile Interiors really pulled out all the stops, fitting a set of Dakota gauges in the cab, as well as custom Fesler door panels and an LMC carpet kit. The back of the house features Ultraleather seating with a custom fabric insert, bamboo flooring with drop-in carpeting, bamboo counters, a Summit stainless fridge and freezer, microwave, sink, plenty of storage, a flat-screen TV and a vertical turntable. Creature comforts include full HVAC, an under-mounted Onan generator, full plumbing and a cab-over sleeping berth. Forget tailgating at the next race; with this C30 custom camper, you’ll arrive and stay in style, not to mention be the envy of the infield."
