Mobile Technology Lab

Originally built by a customizer on the West Coast, this custom RV was a fun retrofit project for CMI. This vehicle is used by a company that does groundbreaking consumer research around the next wave of marketing technology. The RV travels the US visiting brands and agencies with hands-on demonstrations of the newest emerging technologies. There is an apartment-like feel in the motor home, evidenced by the custom-built bar area, and kitchen stove with vent hood for decor. As with many conversions here at CMI, there is much more than meets the eye in this high-tech lab. Along with upgrading some outdated electronics, we worked with the customer to create an interactive bar counter, which turns into a keyboard and broadcasts to the LED screen above. If you didn't already notice, this lab contains a bus within a bus! The bus in the back (behind the smart refrigerator and huge interactive screen!) is the server room for the technology on board, and we tweaked a few things to make it more spacious and functional for its users. While refreshing these areas, CMI also had the vinyl graphics rewrapped inside to match the new aesthetic. If you're looking for the latest and greatest in marketing technology, search no further.
