A Mobile Arts Space, Bank, & Business Training Center
Starting with a simple shuttle bus, CMI was able to create a custom multi-use vehicle for an organization with an honorable mission. The First People's Fund will be utilizing the state-of-the-ART vehicle to further community outreach. It will deliver art, business, retail and banking services that up until this point have been inaccessible to many of the artists and culture bearers who live and work on the Pine Ridge Reservation. CMI added some functionality to the logo-wrapped exterior of the bus by installing an awning, PA system, and a removable LED TV which easily mounts on the side. An additional LED TV, custom stereo system, and presentation monitor are located directly inside the shuttle. In addition to new flooring on the interior, CMI custom-built and installed tables which can be removed and reconfigured as needed. A custom sink near the tables is a perfect art cleanup station, and there's plenty of storage for equipment in the tall custom-built cabinets. LED light strips line the ceiling and lead from the front of the shuttle to the mobile banking office in the rear, where you'll find a custom desk and a built-in safe. Two roof-mounted AC units and electric heat ensure a comfortable interior temperature for all, and are powered by a new 7.5KW generator installed in the rear. CMI is happy to help the First People's Fund on its mission of "coming together to infuse new energy into the creative economy."
