Luxury Mobile Barbershop - Mercedes Sprinter Van
We had a lot of fun turning this 4x4 Extended Mercedes Sprinter into a completely custom mobile barber shop! CMI worked with this customer to transform their van into a luxurious salon on wheels. This particular customer wanted all the fancy luxuries, creating a one-of-a-kind van with a conversion cost into the six-digit range (not including the van itself). Upon entering you're greeted with a glamorous waiting area complete with a custom-built mini bar, color-changing LED lighting, two LED TVs, and a flip-out workstation. There's also a state-of-the-art audio/video system that features an interior and exterior sound system, Wifi, AppleTV, and a 40'' LED TV that electrically lifts into the partition between the driver's area for viewing from the barber's chair.
No need to worry about cleanup either, there's an air compressor and central vacuum system on board to make it quick and easy. The air compressor even doubles as an airbrush system for makeup! The driver's area was upgraded with a new Kenwood head unit, wood dash kit, and custom Ultraleather front seats. Along with installing custom flooring and fabricating storage cabinets for supplies/products, CMI installed an integrated generator and diesel-fired Espar Hydronic heater which provides hot water to the sink and heat for the rear cabin.
There's even a towel warmer to provide a comforting end to your cut. Outside there's an electric awning that creates comfortable space for when the line stretches out the door. How do you tell if the shop is open? An electric barber's pole, of course, conveniently located on the exterior and removable for storage! Getting a haircut just got easier, and much more enjoyable.
