Mobile Medical Consult - Custom Ford Transit
This 130'' WB Medium Roof Ford Transit is being used by AVOL volunteers for medical outreach in many ways.
The conversion process for this vehicle involved fabricating and installing a custom partition just inside the sliding-door entrance. The partition wall creates a private meeting area in the rear of the Transit van, allowing it to be used for medical education, a mobile testing center, and to ensure ongoing connectivity to those who need medical care and wellness services.
A 1200w inverter system was installed, along with in-ceiling puck lighting, and 110v convenience outlets throughout the rear meeting area. We kept the factory bench seat in the main cabin area for desired functionality and installed day/night shades at each window opening for added privacy. The rear seating area contains custom laminated cabinetry with multiple storage locations for equipment and supplies.
