Custom Airstream Display Trailer for THE Ohio State University
With technology so advanced nowadays, the last thing you want is a vehicle full of bugs.. But that's exactly what we built! Designed and fabricated hand-in-hand with Airstream and OSU's Entomology Department, CMI worked with students to create the Bugmobile - a rolling teaching tool that goes to schools/events all over the state. What started off as a brand new/empty trailer is now a place for people of all ages to learn why bugs are cool (and not something to be afraid of)!
CMI put the following main features into this conversion:
-
Display cabinets, counters, and storage
-
Walk-around island cabinetry with seating bench
-
Refrigerator, sink, and closet area
-
Interior TV with microscope integration
-
LED lighting
-
HVAC
-
Truck-mounted generator system
-
Removable exterior TV
-
Custom exterior graphics wrap
